What to Bring to a Horse Show: The Ultimate Checklist

Are you going to your first horse show? If so, you may be wondering what to bring with you. Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! In this blog post, we will discuss the ultimate checklist for what to bring to a horse show. This includes everything from tack and equipment to food and drinks. By following this checklist, you will make sure that you have everything you need and are prepared for a successful horse show!

If you are riding with a school barn, ask your coach what you should bring. Most likely, they will have a list of items for you. This list should include everything from your helmet and boots to your show clothes and grooming supplies.

Also, if you are with a school barn, you probably won’t have a hired groom (someone to get your horse ready) to help you. Be ready to get your own horse ready and tacked up!

If you are riding your own horse, you will need to bring all of your own tack and equipment. This includes your saddle, bridle, and any other necessary items. You should also bring a few extra things, just in case something breaks or gets lost. These items include spare gloves, safety pins, and a first-aid kit. It is also a good idea to bring food and drinks for yourself, as well buckets for water for your horse. Don’t forget the hooks or ties to put the bucket up in your horse’s stall.

When packing for a horse show, be sure to pack everything you need the night before. This way, you won’t have to rush around in the morning and can relax and focus on your riding. If you are sharing a trailer with other riders, be sure to pack your belongings in an easily accessible spot. Nothing is worse than having to dig through someone else’s stuff when you’re trying to get ready for your class!
